FAQ

(Soaps)

Why is handmade soap better than store bought?

Store bought soaps contain detergents and are technically not classified as soap at all! True soap is simply an emulsification of oils and salt. Commercial soaps are usually not that. Those soaps also tend to be extremely drying and irritating to the skin. Reason being, the glycerin naturally occurring in soap is a profitable by-product. Instead of keeping the natural moisturizing qualities in the soap, these companies choose to sell its glycerin and leave the bar of soap with very little moisturizing properties. We think it's best to leave soap in its naturally occurring,  ultra moisturizing state!

How long does a bar of your soap typically last?
Natural soaps are normally softer than commercial soaps because they retain their natural glycerin (which is removed in commercial soap production) and contain no artificial hardening chemicals, synthetic waxes or free alkali.

How long a bar will last depends on how many people are using it, how often you bathe or shower and how you use the bar. So, If you're lathering up six different times because you're enjoying the scent and experience, obviously a bar isn't going to last that long! As the saying goes - your mileage may vary.

How you use the bar will also affect its lifespan.

•             Don't let your soap sit in water

•             Store soap on a well-drained soap dish (wooden preferred)

•             Allow soap plenty of fresh air to dry between uses

•             Never place soap where shower water can continuously hit it

What should I do to make my soap last longer?
Let your soap dry out between uses, by putting your soap on some kind of a soap dish that allows air to circulate around the bar. A 'proper' soap dish will either raise the bar up for air to circulate from beneath, or contain air holes for drainage of water below the soap. If you store your soap in the little alcove built into most shower stalls and tub surrounds, the shower spray will continually soak your soap. You will literally see your soap's glycerin, and your money, go down the drain.

(Lash Questions)

Are they reusable?

Yup! Our lashes can be reused multiple wears with proper care. While we can't promise a number, the general rule of thumb (with any falsies), is to always dab some makeup remover and run it along the lash band until the glue dissolves, then continue to remove any remnants of the glue to keep them going strong. Also, use lash glue formulated for lashes to extend the wear of your lashes
